As one of the founders of Tinny, Meyer & Piccarreto, P.A., Kevin J. Piccarreto is dedicated to protecting the rights of his clients during stressful situations. He attended the State University of New York, where he graduated magna cum laude with a sociology degree in 1995. He went on to earn his Doctor of Jurrisprudence degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1998, cum laude.

Early Career
Attorney Piccarreto’s early legal career is rooted in representing plaintiffs and working with the prosecution. He completed a Federal Judicial Internship with the Honorable Elizabeth Jenkins. Admitted to practice law in Florida, he is a member of the Florida Bar, Clearwater Bar Association, St. Petersburg Bar Association, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Attorney Piccarreto began his legal career working as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County. He served as a Lead Trial Attorney and was assigned to the North County Traffic Division as well as a Felony Criminal Division.
While Attorney Piccarreto is trained as a domestic violence prosecutor and defended clients with criminal defense matters, he turned his focus on marital and family law. He helps individuals with divorce, child custody, alimony, and more. His experience as a prosecutor, coupled with his knowledge about domestic law, makes Attorney Piccarreto an invaluable legal asset to anyone’s case.
With his comprehensive background in criminal defense and family law, Attorney Piccarreto brings a unique insight into each case he takes on. He understands how volatile domestic relations and divorce can be. He is skilled at diffusing the situation and advocating for his client’s best interests. When not in court or preparing for his client's cases, he is active in his community and local government.
He served as a Commissioner and Deputy Mayor of the Town of Belleair as well as a member of Belleair’s Building Board of Adjustment and Appeals and the Town’s Charter Review committee. Additionally, he served as a member of the Pinellas Planning Committee (PPC) and Pinellas County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Currently, he serves on the Town of Belleair’s Finance Committee and has been a member of the Belleair Rotary Club where he served on the board of directors.
Attorney Piccarreto has publicly presented on matters such as Advanced Directives Estate Planning, Asset Preservation, and Divorce and Family Law issues. He is past-president of Belleair Civic Association and current member of the Belleair Community Foundation.
